5 lessons that have shaped my journey as an Income Flipper π±
Hey Income Flippers!
I've been thinking a lot lately about lessons learned, little reminders, and things that are really working right now.
Sometimes life has a way of throwing curveballs, and I've had my fair share recently. So, I wanted to share a few thoughts that have been bouncing around in my head.
1) Get your legal house in order.
I've learned that staying proactive with legal stuff is crucialβespecially when you're building something new.
It's easy to overlook updating operating agreements or employment contracts to match your evolving vision. Donβt wait until youβre in a bind.
Take a minute to make sure everything is aligned with your current reality. Itβs a bit like making sure your foundation is solid before you build higher.
2) Assume the best, prepare for the worst.
People are generally awesome, but life has taught me to hope for the best while having a backup plan.
Think of it as wearing a seatbeltβyou donβt expect to crash, but youβre ready just in case. Keep your faith in people, but protect yourself just in case.
3) Reminder: People are watching.
This oneβs not so much a lesson as it is a truth: people are always watching.
Whether itβs your team, your peers, or even your family, theyβre paying attention to how you show up.
Make sure youβre planting good seeds and staying true to your values. Your consistency will pay offβitβs like watering a plant every day and eventually seeing it bloom.
4) Be kindβYou never know what battles others are fighting.
Hereβs something thatβs been on my heart: everyoneβs got something going on.
You might not see it, but itβs there. Be that person who lifts people up, even when you donβt know what theyβre going through. A little kindness can go a long wayβyou never know whose day youβre turning around.
5) Patience pays off.
Sometimes things take longer than planned, and thatβs okay. Whether itβs a deal taking longer to close or a project thatβs dragging on, donβt lose faith.
Just because itβs taking time doesnβt mean itβs not working. Think of it as planting a tree β the roots are growing even when you canβt see them.
Stay patient, stay consistent, and the results will come.
π₯ Things that are working:
The power of focus
βWe made listings the focus this year, and itβs paying off. Giving our leaders that single mission has created real synergy among the teams.
β
Itβs like having everyone paddle in the same direction β weβre moving faster and stronger because of it.
Surround yourself with the bestβ
I keep telling our people that if you want to be the best, you need to be around the best. Itβs finally starting to stick, and the difference is noticeable.
β
The energy shifts when people realize theyβre part of something biggerβsomething elite.
Thatβs it for this week, Income Flippers!
Keep showing up, stay focused, and remember β good things come to those who do the right thing, even when itβs hard.
Keep flipping, keep building, and keep pushing forward.
Until next time,
Rob
